From the Berkshires to Boston, construction crews are putting the finishing touches on a dozen new off-street biking and walking paths that are expected to open to traffic in 2022.

DCR Announces Scaled-Back Memorial Drive Road Diet for 2024

The latest proposal, as described in the ENF, would reconstruct a 0.8-mile length of Memorial Drive and its multi-use pathways between the Eliot Bridge and the Anderson Bridge (JFK Street).

MassDOT Makes Plans to Extend Northern Strand Through Downtown Lynn

The project would build new two-way, curb-separated bike lanes along the south side of the Market Square roundabout (pictured above), the Lynn Common, and Market Street.

The new section of the Cochituate Rail Trail in Natick opened earlier this year, and connects the village of Saxonville in Framingham to Natick Center.

New development, new sidewalks, and new protected bike lanes line Washington Street in Brookline Village. The town is moving forward with a proposal to set aside one lane in each direction on the newly-reconstructed street as dedicated bus lanes for the MBTA's route 60, 65, and 66 buses.
