"Several options are under consideration for the alignment of the Green Line tracks and the reconfiguration of Heath St. Station - one of these is a dedicated transit corridor along Huntington Ave. that would be used by both Green Line trains and buses," says an MBTA official.

The City of Cambridge has updated its plans for outer Massachusetts Avenue, near the Arlington town line, to add a second outbound dedicated bus lane, in addition to protected bike lanes. An earlier version of the plan (at left) would have only provided one, inbound bus lane.
